The Mindful Pregnancy Guide
Last updated: 16 September 2026
mama space is built with care for mothers and partners on one of life's most personal journeys. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data — including sensitive health information — with transparency, respect, and the highest standard of security. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Account information: your email address and a display name, used to create and sign you into your account.
Pregnancy and postpartum data: details you share such as your due date or baby arrival date, baby name, mood and wellbeing check-ins, journal entries, weight, custom to-dos, and saved baby names.
Photos and scans: ultrasound scan photos, baby photos, and appointment letters you upload to your Vault, along with optional AI-generated descriptions.
Partner linking data: when you link a partner, the email address used to connect you both, so the partner can follow along with your shared journey.
Subscription data: purchase and plan information handled by our payment provider (Base44 Payments) so we can grant and maintain your premium access.
Device and usage data: basic, anonymised information such as app version and language preference, used to keep the app running smoothly.
We use your data to provide and personalise the mama space experience:
When you choose to link a partner, only the information you have opted to share is visible to them — such as your pregnancy progress, shared Vault photos and appointments, and daily ritual activity. Partners cannot edit your data. You can unlink a partner at any time from Settings, which immediately revokes their access.
Information about your pregnancy and your baby is special-category health data. We only process it with your explicit consent, given during onboarding, and only to provide the app's services to you. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account, which erases your data. Withdrawing consent will stop the app from functioning for you.
mama space is a supportive companion and never a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your midwife or healthcare provider for clinical decisions.
We use secure, encrypted storage and restrict access to your data to you (and partners you have explicitly linked). Sensitive operations are handled server-side with row-level security so one user can never access another's data. Payment details are processed by our provider and never stored by us.
With your separate marketing consent, we may send personalised offers and updates relevant to your journey. You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or in Settings. Marketing consent is entirely optional and does not affect your access to the app.
We rely on trusted providers for payments (Base44 Payments), sign-in, and optional cloud backups to your own Google Drive. These providers process data under their own terms. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and associated content are removed. Some anonymised, aggregated data may be retained for analytics, with no way to identify you.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise most of these rights directly in Settings, or by contacting us. If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
mama space is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of mama space after a change means you accept the updated policy.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, we are here to help.
